Grumbacher Certified Drawing and Painting Instructor

I recently became a Grumbacher Certified Drawing and Painting Instructor for the Michaels Arts and Craft store in Gainesville, Virginia. The beginning drawing and painting classes (acrylics) include landscapes, seascape, floral, still life. The advanced classes also offer lessons in portraits and animals.

The registration fee is $25. for the two-hour beginner's drawing and painting classes. The four-hour intermediate painting class is $50. Supplies can be purchased at the Michael's store, and the Beginner's Acrylic Painting Kit is discounted 40% for students signing up for an acrylic painting class. The kit includes; four basic paint colors, cadmium red light, cadmium yellow medium, ultramarine blue and titanium white, a palette knife, two 9"x12" canvas boards and 2 Grumbacher brushes. For the painting classes you will also need to bring rags, a container for water, a palette or a couple of styrofoam or plastic plates to use as a palette. Students will learn a step by step process to create your own drawing or painting. The skills and techniques you will learn in these classes will also help you to create your own original artworks.
