"Severn River Reflections" is an early oil painting from 2007. This painting was started as a plein aire study and developed later in my studio with photo references.
During the years we lived in Edgewater, MD, we were in close proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and all the surrounding rivers. We enjoyed crabbing from piers and fishing in the rivers and the Bay. If interested in this painting, please contact the artist directly and ask for a picture of the painting in a dark brown frame with gold trim.
My artworks reflect the beauty and light I see in Creation. Over my life, I have worked in oils, acrylics, watercolor, graphite, charcoal and relief printmaking. Working in oils is my favorite medium, although I love them all. I earned a BA in Studio Art with cum laude honors from UMUC, in College Park, MD. I taught watercolor and acrylic painting in Maryland and Virginia, until covid closed things down. Perry and I lived in Maryland and Virginia for over 30 years. We recently moved to Leola, PA to take care of Perry's Aunt Mildred. Perry grew up in Lititz, PA . After being in the Lancaster area for a couple of years, we decided to call Leola, PA our new home.
